This week On My Playlist EP. 7: When the Bass Hits

It only makes sense that we start with the a king of Nigerian rap. M.I. Abaga releases clever visuals to the song " Everything" off his Illegal Music 3 Mixtape and I  love it. Let me know if you do too.

Up next, Lady Jay is back and as always her versatility delights me. " Booggie Whine" is an unexpected delight and promises to keep you grooving.

The odd guy in the bunch, the song " Boosit" by Cobhams Asuquo ft. Falz is not as polished as our earlier tracks but every bit as entertaining with the added bonus of conscious lyrics. And because in life at the moment, I'm tired of a lot of the Boosit. So it's nice to be able to say that.

The rapper who goes by the name of Poe, reminds us why he's a rated artist even among other rappers. Jumping on the beat for Olamide's " Who You Epp" we are treated to the "T.A.P. Rmx" and it's a delightful mix of witty word-play, clever humour and smooth delivery. What's not to love?

One of the biggest rappers on the continent, Sarkodie always manages to bring the swag effortlessly, and although I don't understand Twi, there are enough well placed english phrases to send home his message. Take it back to real rap; which arguably the song which is also titled " Take It Back" does.
